Heroism Medal
Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary
The Heroism Medal is awarded to a member of HASAR while acting in a Marine capacity, has shown courage and heroism while deployed.
Criteria: The Heroism Medal is awarded to a HASAR member who is a registered member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and has met the minimum number of hours for that and HASAR and demonstrated heroism and courage in the face of danger while deployed in a Marine role.
Ribbon: The Award of Life Saving is a 32mm wide ribbon with five equal parts of red, white, dark green, white and then red again. This Award is the second highest Award in the Order of Precedence and is preceded to the right by the Award of Bravery and succeeded to the left by the Award of Life Saving.
Further awards of the Award of Life Saving is denoted by a silver Maple Leaf for each award until the 5th, whereby a gold Maple Leaf device for each award until the 10th. The 10th shall be denoted by a red Maple Leaf.
