Mobile Command Centre 001The MCC is a 2011 GMC modified van which is the command, communications and control centre of all HASAR operations. The MCC is equipped with a main viewing screen, several slave screens, VHF & UHF radios and the ability for five separate workstations to work in co-ordination.

HASAR Auxiliary & Logistics Trailer 002The HAL is a 2019 single axle trailer donated by the Canadian Trailer Company of Goderich, ON. The trailer is used to carry the gear of HASAR as well as being able to function as an auxiliary command post should the need arise. The trailer is equipped to be powered from a generator or shore power as well as having a UHF radio and a mobile work station available.

Marine Mission System 003The MMS is a 1973 boat trailer used to store the RV-1 John Miller in the off season, and holds the MARV during the boating season for rapid deployment.

Vehicle - Amphibious, Multi-Purpose 004The VAMP is a 2019 8 wheeled Argo generously on loan by Country Corners from Exeter, ON. The VAMP is utilized for transport, medical and logistic purposes. This was purchased for HASAR by Compass Minerals.

Marine Ancillary Rescue Vessel 005The MARV is a 14ft rigid-hulled inflatable vessel which is powered by a 9.8hp outboard engine. This vessel was privately donated to HASAR and is best utilized in closed water situations; rivers and small ponds.

HASAR Alternate Vehicle - Operations & Command 006The HAVOC is a 1993 Western Star Light Support Vehicle - Wheeled (LSVW) which was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and privately donated to HASAR. This truck is the heart of our Rope Rescue team, carrying both the equipment and the command for such Rescue operations.

The SAU-1890 FF John Miller is a 1973 Grew, 22ft in length and highly modified for its role as a Search and Rescue vessel. The craft is equipped with a navigator's chart plotter, RADAR, depth finder and many other life saving equipment. The vessel began its CCGA career in summer 2021 and continues to patrol the waters of Lake Huron today!
The vessel is named after the first emergency personnel killed in the line of duty in Huron County - Firefighter John Miller of the Clinton Fire Department. |
The SAU-1919 Lt. Florence Graham is a 1959 Norwegian Trawler with twin diesel engines and a fully enclosed bridge and house. The Graham is equipped with chart plotter, side scan SONAR, FLIR and RADAR.
This vessel is named after Florence Graham, a Goderich, ON, nurse who joined the US Army Nursing Corps and was killed overseas in 1919 serving in WWI. |
