Exemplary Service Medal
Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary
The Exemplary Service Medal is awarded to a member of HASAR who has shown long term exemplary service with the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and HASAR Marine Unit.
Criteria: The Exemplary Service Medal is awarded to a HASAR member who is a registered member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and has met the minimum number of hours for that and HASAR and demonstrated long term administrative and operational excellence above and beyond the standard.
Ribbon: The Exemplary Service Medal is a 32mm wide ribbon with five equal parts of blue, white, red, white and then blue again. This Award is the fourth highest Award in the Order of Precedence and is preceded to the right by the Leadership Medal and succeeded to the left by the Award of Bravery.
Further awards of the Exemplary Service Medal is denoted by a silver Maple Leaf for each award until the 5th, whereby a gold Maple Leaf device for each award until the 10th. The 10th shall be denoted by a red Maple Leaf.
